Management Accountant
Location: Glasgow (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £45k
Cruinn are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a values-driven social care organisation operating across Scotland. This role is ideal for a finance professional who wants to contribute to meaningful work while supporting a busy and collaborative finance team.
The Role
The Management Accountant will support the Head of Finance with monthly management accounts, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting and year-end statutory accounts. You’ll ensure accurate financial controls, provide timely reporting, and contribute to business planning and long-term financial projections.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts and support forecasting
• Assist with year-end accounts and audit processes
• Analyse major spend areas to support decision-making and value for money
• Complete accurate ledger postings, bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support managers in understanding and controlling their budgets
• Provide financial information for bids, tenders and proposals
• Assist with Housing Benefit calculations
• Contribute to longer-term financial plans and business planning
• Provide cover across finance functions and deputise for the Head of Finance when required
About You
• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant
• Strong understanding of transactional accounting and financial reporting
• Experienced in year-end preparation
• Intermediate/advanced Excel user
• Excellent communication, accuracy and analytical skills
• Values-driven, adaptable and solutions-focused
