We have a fantastic opportunity for an Ambulance Care Assistant to serve your local community and join the Ambulance Service as part of our Ambulance crew based in Redhill on a bank (0 hour) contract.

Key Responsibilities
* Transporting elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from their medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
* Assisting in the transportation of ‘end‑of‑life’ service users, ensuring a high level of empathy at all times.
* Building rapport by effectively communicating with patients and their relatives/friends.
* Responsible for lifting, securing and helping service users in and out of the ambulance.
* Assist with the hand‑over of patients to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment centres/hospitals or to family/friends at home.
* Transfer patients from beds to stretchers, chairs to chairs or similar both in and out of hospital and medical/commercial flights.
* Assist service users with challenging behaviour and/or mental health illnesses.
* Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hold a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
* Committed to patient care.
* Strong communicator, able to manage emotional circumstances with patients and others.
* Calm, considerate, careful driver.
* Team‑working and collaboration natural flair.
* Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
* Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded).
* Familiar with the local and surrounding area.
