Job Purpose
The Product Sustainment & Support Engineer is responsible for implementing the Integrated Product Support Plan, ensuring long‑term system availability, maintainability and cost‑effective sustainment by managing supportability engineering, lifecycle analysis, logistics planning and configuration control in support of the certification roadmap of the Zephyr Z8C Air System.
Responsibilities
* Integrated Logistics Support Planning
o Deliver the IPS strategy, plans requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
o Conduct supportability analysis (LORA, FMECA, RAMS, Maintenance Task Analysis) and in‑service cost modelling.
o Ensure relevant support elements (in‑service configuration data, technical documentation, training programmes and in‑service change management) are fully integrated and aligned with programme objectives.
* Configuration and Data Management
o Manage configuration control processes, ensuring accuracy of aircraft and component data, technical publications and maintenance procedures.
o Oversee development and updates of technical manuals, maintaining task analysis, provisioning data and illustrated parts catalogues.
o Ensure compliance with ASD S‑Series specifications, aviation authority requirements and company safety and quality management systems.
* Training Support
o Define training requirements for maintainers, operators and support staff.
o Support the development of training materials, simulators and training plans in collaboration with the Zephyr Training Academy to ensure availability of competent staff.
o Ensure support equipment and tools are identified, procured and validated with sufficient time to deliver programme objectives.
* Stakeholder Management and Programme Interface
o Serve as the primary ILS interface with the design organisation, engineering, production, maintenance, CAMO and flight operations.
o Prepare reference data, reports, presentations and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
o Participate in design reviews, scenario planning, readiness reviews and acceptance activities.
Experience And Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aircraft maintenance or logistics (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in aviation sustainment, support engineering or logistics support.
* Knowledge of ILS frameworks, reliability engineering and lifecycle management.
* Understanding of aviation regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency with supportability analysis tools and methods, and maintenance management systems.
