We are supporting a fantastic maintained nursery school in the WF4 area of Wakefield, and they are looking to welcome a strong, proactive and highly child-focused Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis straight after the Easter holidays. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
About the Role
You will be working with children aged 2–4 years within a Curiosity Approach environment that promotes independence, exploration and high-quality communication. The school places a strong emphasis on early speech and language development, so clear spoken English and confident interaction skills are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting speech, language and communication throughout the day
* Engaging in purposeful play at the children’s level
* Encouraging child-led learning
* Working effectively in a busy, fast-paced nursery setting
* Building strong relationships with staff, children and families
* Being proactive and using your initiative within the classroom

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Experience working in Early Years or nursery settings
* A Paediatric First Aid qualification
* A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred and highly advantageous)
