We’re looking for a charismatic and engaging individual who can connect with clinical nursing teams at all levels and support cultural/behavioral changes within teams to ensure improvements in the delivery of the best possible patient experience. You will play a pivotal role in encouraging the development of a learning culture where both education and lifelong learning are seen as integral to clinical practice. The role aims to enhance the quality of the learning environment and positively contributes to the development of a workforce which is fit for purpose. You will need to be a resourceful and resilient individual with a positive attitude who is able to manage a complex and diverse training workload, has excellent organizational skills and most importantly has a genuine passion for teaching others. Advert The post holder will be responsible for planning, implementing and delivering education and training for nursing staff within the Stroke Unit as well as Care of Elderly and IMC. This will include the assessment and development of clinical staff caring for patients and the evaluation of learning and training interventions. The emphasis of the post will be to develop nursing staff within service need, with a high profile on the quality and safety of nursing care. The post holder will have responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of education and training within the Stroke Unit as well as Care of Elderly and IMC, and will support the ward managers, Matrons and Head of Nursing to ensure high standards of nursing care are provided to all patients. The post holder is expected to work with the minimum of supervision and co-ordinate his/her activities to ensure that an efficient service is provided, and accountable for the education and training of qualified and unqualified nursing staff. Although the post holder has no direct budgetary responsibility they will be expected to identify and assist with the effective use of resources within their clinical area.
