Position Summary
The Product Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating innovative mechanical lifting solutions. This role supports Client's mission to deliver safe, portable, and efficient aluminium lifting systems through engineering excellence and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and improve mechanical products ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
* Develop bespoke solutions tailored to customer requirements.
* Manage engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Create technical drawings for new products and custom orders.
* Conduct structural analysis using calculations and FEA tools.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation.
* Maintain and manage BOMs using ERP systems.
* Ensure product compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Perform product testing and validation.
* Monitor changes in industry standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD systems.
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
* Attention to detail and proactive work ethic.
* Commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure.
* Experience with aluminium materials and structures (preferred).
