Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help enhance the efficiency and reliability of our production equipment through both proactive planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities to ensure equipment reliability.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and machine failures, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and ensure calibration and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and develop troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to enhance operational performance.
Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors when necessary.
Uphold health and safety procedures in all maintenance activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
Proven maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
Strong fault-finding abilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of pneumatics and production machinery.
Ability to prioritize urgent repairs effectively.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Desirable:
HNC/HND or apprenticeship in Engineering.
Experience with TPM and PLC fault-finding.
Familiarity with CMMS and an electronics manufacturing background.Typical Duties:
Conduct routine inspections and equipment servicing.
Respond to breakdowns and manage spare parts effectively.
Supervise contractors and perform root cause analysis for equipment failures.
Implement reliability improvements for equipment.Working Environment:
