The Charity Operations Assistant has a role in supporting the diverse mix of activities on offer at Pavilion on the Park over a seven-day period. It is a varied role, and you will be encouraged to develop your confidence and communications skills through a portfolio of different tasks and assignments, providing cover for other members of staff or adding capacity on larger events and bookings. Activities could include: • Welcoming hirers to the Pavilion on the Park • Answering the telephones and taking messages • Setting up and clearing away for bookings • Helping wash up or serve customers in the café • Assisting with trust-led activities, for example taking customer payments or helping with a variety of project activities • Joining an events hosting team for corporate bookings or private parties • Cleaning and hygiene management • Clearing and sorting out equipment • Any other operational activity which supports the core team to carry out the centre operations. Working hours will vary depending on the hours available and the individual's choice. These may include a number of core hours and additional flexible hours over evenings and weekends, depending on the schedule of regular and ‘ad hoc’ bookings, which changes on a weekly basis.
