Overview
Newham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is part of the East London NHS Foundation Trust and provides community-based services for children and young people with mental health problems across Newham. The services are made up of various multi-disciplinary teams, including Neurodevelopment Team, Adolescent Mental Health Team, Emotional and Behavioural Team, Paediatric Liaison Team, and Mental Health Schools Team.
CAMHS works with children and young people up to the age of 18 years old. We are committed to working in partnership with service users, their families, and their social networks to provide treatment to young people suffering from mental health disorders including Depression, Psychosis, Eating Disorders, Self-Harm, and Emotional Problems.
Our clinical teams rely on efficient administration systems and processes, including accurate data collection, reporting, and effective electronic administrative systems management.
Responsibilities
* Provide the front‑of‑house role as a receptionist at Newham CAMHS, answering calls and managing queries while welcoming young people and their families to York House.
* Provide general administration to all CAMHS clinicians, managers, and their teams.
* Work in a busy and demanding environment and be able to work without direct supervision and to exercise initiative. The ability to multi‑task is essential.
* Work on own initiative and liaise effectively with a broad range of professions while maintaining client confidentiality.
* Cover, when appropriate, other administration staff across several allocations in some instances.
* Be accountable & responsible for a comprehensive administrative service, including processing all reports, correspondence, and documentation.
* Efficiently collect, input, and record case‑management data in line with service requirements.
* Identify and resolve data‑entry issues.
