You will be responsible for the management of your sales area, the leadership of your employees as well as sales/turnover and cost so that optimized customer service and acquisition of new customers is guaranteed. The Regional Sales Manager will report directly into the Business Unit Manager, Trauma UK.

This role will require regional travel and to stay away from home overnight on a regular basis for customer visits. This person will be based from home however visits to the head office in Newbury will be expected and occasional international travel is to be expected.

Key Responsibilities

1. Exceed & deliver against the quarterly and yearly business budget whilst managing instrument utilization, consignment investment and discretionary spend.

2. Ensure outstanding service delivery to protect and renew existing commitments and evaluate market opportunities to develop new business pipeline.

3. Regular and accurate forecasting vs budget.

4. Manage, lead, and motivate a high performing sales team, supporting and driving them strategically and tactically to accelerate business through the Trauma portfolio.

5. Coach and develop your sales team to achieve their potential.

6. Support and collaborate with enabling function teams such as contracts & pricing, compliance, customer service and accounting, to ensure smooth order to cash process is maintained and our customers receive the highest levels of service.

7. Build local clinical champions to support driving forward both current and future technology platforms across the entire portfolio.

8. Understand and utilize market dynamics to support business acceleration.

9. Take a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies and platforms.

10. Network with cross divisional counterparts to foster a culture of collaboration and identify opportunities to ‘Win Big, Together’.

What you need

11. Training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences/economics

12. Verifiable successful sales and/or marketing experience

13. Experience in team leadership, coaching and mentoring

14. Product knowledge in the Orthopaedic Trauma sector

15. Experience working with hospital procurement groups and national framework providers would be preferable

16. Anatomical proficiency

17. Economic knowledge

18. Commercial skills in leading a profit centre

19. Knowledge of a CRM system

20. Computer skills, MS Office

21. Presentation skills with modern presentation media

22. Full UK drivers licence
