We are recruiting Ad Hoc / Supply Teaching Assistants to support schools throughout Bristol. Whether you’re looking for occasional days or regular supply work, this role will give you variety, experience, and the chance to really make a difference.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting class teachers in delivering lessons across primary and/or secondary school settings
2. Working with whole classes, small groups or 1:1, including children with additional needs
3. Helping with class routines, behaviour, and ensuring a calm, positive learning environment
4. Assisting with resource preparation and adapting materials to support pupils’ learning
5. Following school and safeguarding policies at all times
What we’re looking for:
6. A genuine care for supporting children and young people
7. A flexible, positive, and proactive attitude – able to adapt to different school settings
8. Strong teamwork and good communication skills
9. Reliability and consistency in attendance and professional behaviour
10. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willing to apply (we can help with this)
