I am currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Essex. This is a site-based role with occasional site visits.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
* Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programmes across the workforce
* Drive continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental performance
* Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Requirements
* NEBOSH
* Proven auditing experience
* Solid experience in a HSE management role within manufacturing, engineering, construction or similar
* Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach to improving safety culture and compliance
Benefits
* £40,000 – £50,000 annual salary, depending on experience
