Job Title: Project Accountant

Salary: Up to £43,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Work with the Project teams and others to ensure robustness in outputs required for key internal and external financial reporting requirements
* Provide support to the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) and regular monthly reporting and forecasting processes through thorough review and challenge of data received from the project teams
* Generation of monthly customer invoicing and management of specific supplier invoicing to ensure payment within terms
* Manage Project Controls queries and support the team to deliver the solution in the most effective and efficient way
* Support the business stakeholders to aid their understanding of financial information
* Compliance with all elements of Naval Ships processes and application of BAE Systems Finance Policies and Financial Controls
Your skills and experiences:
* CIMA part qualified or studying preferred but not essential
* Understanding of Project Accounting
* Able to communicate with Finance and non-finance teams and across Naval Ships
* Able to manage diverse workload and prioritisation of deliverables
* Competence around MS Office products

The Project Accountant team:
BAE Systems Naval Ships provide Shipbuilding, Combat Systems and Support Services to customers throughout the world, operating in a dynamic and fluid environment which requires excellence in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to create positive value creation across a wide range of activities. Our role as a Project Finance Team within FP&A is to produce insights, reporting and forecasting through standardised processes and best practice. You will be part of a 5-person team within Project Finance, working alongside and collaborating with finance and non-finance teams. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, with the potential to rotate into various roles within the function.
