Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong finance professional to support the accurate and timely consolidation of monthly financial results across all ASC business units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that leadership has a clear, reliable view of business performance. This is a fixed-term position initially for 6 months, with the potential to become permanent. We offer flexible working arrangements, and when on-site, you’ll be based at our Bradford office(BD12).In return, we offer a salary of £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience, along with a structured development plan that includes training and mentorship to support your career growth.
Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will gather and validate financial data, maintain robust financial models, and ensure these are accurately reflected in our FP&A systems—including Anaplan—and other key internal reporting tools. You will also support the Head of FP&A throughout the full forecasting and budgeting cycles, contributing insights and analysis that drive effective decision-making. Your work will help shape the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of ASC’s financial planning and reporting framework.
Key Responsibilities of our FP&A Analyst
* Support the delivery of the monthly reporting cycle by consolidating actual results across all ASC Business Units, preparing management reports, and providing first-level variance analysis and commentary
* Prepare and consolidate forecast and budget inputs in collaboration with the site finance teams, ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of all forecast data
* Develop detailed financial models, reports, and data insights to support the analysis of actual results and inform forecasts and budgets
* Compile comprehensive sales-per-customer reporting and produce ranking analyses to identify top-performing customers
* Prepare management reporting packs and business reviews that effectively communicate clear, actionable insights to key stakeholders
* Monitor financial KPIs, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive operational and financial efficiencies
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise needed of our FP&A Analyst:
* ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified
* Advanced Excel modelling (driver-based forecasting, scenario analysis, sensitivity modelling)
* Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow interdependencies, with the ability to build and link all three statements
* Proficient in producing variance and trend analyses, including clear and insightful bridges to explain key drivers
* Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business
