Role Overview
This position is ideal for someone with experience in legal finance and a solid understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules. The role involves supervising a small, friendly team and handling a variety of finance-related tasks in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Resolving accounts queries
2. Reconciling client accounts
3. Processing staff expenses
4. Maintaining and posting direct debits and standing orders
5. Managing client monies
6. Posting daily bank statements
7. Inputting volume TT's and BACS payments
8. Handling transfers between client and office accounts as per SAR guidelines
9. Bill posting
10. Checking completion packs and processing related payments
11. Performing daily banking, including issuing cheques and payments
12. Assisting with the purchase ledger
13. Processing and receiving card payments
14. Monitoring and reporting on client account balances
15. Addressing staff queries regarding ledgers
16. Managing telephone queries
17. Undertaking admin and filing tasks
Supervisory Responsibilities
18. Preparing and reporting monthly financial information to the management team, including attending board meetings if required
19. Liaison with external accountants to ensure compliance and completion of accounts
20. Ensuring timely and efficient processing of monthly payroll
21. Supervising and developing a team of legal cashiers
