We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) to join our Operations Team at Cambridge Education Group (CEG). This is an exciting time to join CEG. You will work closely with the Director of Continuous Improvement, who joined the Group last year as CEG embarked on a strategic journey to embed a strong culture of Continuous Improvement across the organisation. As the Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will lead and support improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness, and customer experience across CEG. The role requires strong change management, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels to drive sustainable cultural and operational change. Key Responsibilities * With the support of the Director of Continuous Improvement, identify, scope, diagnose, and deliver process and performance improvement opportunities that drive growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency across the organisation. * Lead and support the delivery of end‑to‑end Lean Six Sigma DMAIC projects and initiatives, as agreed with the Director of Continuous Improvement, to deliver measurable process improvements, lean strategies, and best practices. * Analyse data and performance metrics to support process owners in aligning improvement projects with strategic and operational objectives. * Facilitate process mapping and value stream mapping of key processes to define current-state performance and develop actionable future-state plans. * Conduct advanced data analysis as required, including root cause analysis and cost of quality assessments. * Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to colleagues across the organisation in the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques. * Act as a champion for continuous improvement, supporting the development of a sustainable improvement culture across CEG. Person Specification Education * Recognised Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualification or equivalent demonstrable Lean experience. * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Quality, Operations Management, or similar). Experience * Proven track record of leading CI & Lean Six Sigma improvement projects within a service-based environment, delivering tangible and measurable benefits. * Demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate and lead cross-functional projects in a collaborative, team-based environment. * Strong problem-solving capability, including experience of DMAIC, root cause analysis, and cost of quality analysis. * Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring teams in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques, applied to real improvement initiatives. Skills * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and workshop leadership skills. * Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant analytical tools, including Minitab.
