Job Description:
The role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and gain an in-depth understanding of Interest Rate trading, balance sheet strategies, and risk management techniques via exposure to one of the highest ranked Rates trading desks across the industry. The Global Rates business trades a wide range of products such as Bonds, Structured Notes, CLN, Repo, Interest Rate Swaps, and FX forwards across EMEA, APAC, and North America.
As a Global Rates External Reporter - Vice President in the Corporate & Investment Bank department, you will oversee financial statements and management reporting, ensure a sound control environment, and guide accounting for products related to Global Rates. You will also work closely with the Front Office to optimize balance sheet and capital usage and participate in key projects, especially focusing on APAC Rates.
Job Responsibilities
* Participate in and oversee the production and review of reports filed with regulatory agencies.
* Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness.
* Serve as the main contact for External Reporting disclosures for Global Rates to senior management and auditors.
* Develop and implement control procedures to ensure the integrity of reported financial results.
* Perform variance analysis quarter-over-quarter.
* Review policies and controls across regulatory reporting, accounting, capital, and liquidity for Global Rates.
* Participate in firm-wide initiatives to implement new accounting disclosures.
* Act as the Front Office contact for balance sheet, capital, and liquidity matters for APAC Rates.
* Identify gaps in current reporting processes and help implement new controls and solutions.
* Lead efforts on strategic initiatives and reporting improvements.
* Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
* Experience in Finance, with exposure to accounting, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and financial products.
* Background in Product Control and Financial Control.
* Strong understanding of reporting and control processes.
* Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Ability to summarize complex information for executives.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to change.
