We would like to invite you to come and join our Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service in Fife. Our dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and healthcare support workers work with the people of Fife aged 18 years and over who are experiencing mental health problems.
They provide clinical expertise in a number of clinical specialities both within inpatient settings and the community including adult, older adult, rehabilitation and forensic .
There is a requirement that we deliver highly effective clinical input to all the areas ensuring we are following best evidence based practice in line with local, national and professional standards.
We are keen to hear from Occupational Therapists looking to make the next step in their career, who possess the skills, knowledge, and interest to develop professionally and make a positive impact within the field of mental health. The primary focus of the role is to provide clinical leadership, governance and quality improvement. The key responsibilities include:
Clinical Expertise: Providing advanced specialist knowledge and advice
Clinical Governance: Leading clinical audits, risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practice.
Service Development: Driving improvements in clinical pathways, protocols, and patient care standards.
Education & Training: Supporting staff development through teaching, mentoring, and competency assessments.
Research & Innovation: Leading or contributing to research projects and implementing best practice guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Monitoring clinical outcomes and leading quality improvement initiatives.
Professional Leadership: Acting as a role model for clinical excellence and influencing practice across teams

We are currently engaging in a programme of transformational change and development in line with national and local strategy, standards and priorities for Mental Health and Occupational Therapy services. You would be actively involved in service redesign work and would a key part of re-shaping the way Occupational Therapy services are developed and delivered in Fife.
