* Act as a first point of contact for visitors and callers, creating a professional, welcoming, and inclusive front-of-house environment.
* Provide empathetic, non-judgemental support to individuals engaging with our services, including vulnerable customers.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times, raising concerns promptly and accurately.
* Stay calm, resilient, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment, supporting people with sensitivity and care.
* Maintain an organised and professional reception area that shares up-to-date, relevant information.
* Welcome and record all visitors, answer calls promptly, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
* Build strong relationships with customers, handling queries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using spreadsheets, databases, and the customer relationship management system, while also supporting report generation, document scanning, and ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
* Support the organisation of internal and external events, including room bookings and logistics.
* Ensure the Community Hub remains secure, safe, and professional at all times.
* Ensure compliance with policies and legislation, including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, GDPR, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
We are looking for someone who has...
* Proven experience in reception and administrative duties within a customer-oriented environment, with a solid history of providing prompt and professional customer service across multiple channels.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
* Exceptional communication abilities, capable of expressing empathy and resilience in challenging or sensitive situations.
* A comprehension of the difficulties faced by individuals in vulnerable circumstances, such as those dealing with poverty, social exclusion, crises, or unemployment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a strong attention to detail for accurate digital record maintenance, as well as experience using ICT systems for reliable and secure record management.
* A foundational understanding of GDPR and data protection principles concerning the management of confidential information.
* Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
* Comfortable interacting with the public and at ease in a customer-facing position

* Starting Salary of £24,243
* Annual salary increment increases
* 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
