We are recruiting a Specialist MRI Radiographer at Lister Hospital, Stevenage, to perform a range of MR examinations and participate in a cross‑site rota with our sister site at the new QEII Hospital.
The role includes general MR examinations, a fortnightly paediatric session for sedated and general anaesthetic cases, and a dedicated session for patients with conditional pacemakers (with cardiology support). A 7‑day working shift pattern is required.
Main duties
* Perform MR imaging examinations across the Siemens 3T and 1.5T scanners.
* Participate in cross‑site rotations and specialist paediatric sessions.
* Work with patients with conditional pacemakers and liaise with cardiology.
* Supervise junior staff and support day‑to‑day management as required.
* Contribute to quality improvement and continue professional development.
Qualifications and Training
* DCR or BSc Diagnostic Radiography.
* HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
Experience
* Proven clinical ability in MR imaging.
* Experience supervising junior staff.
* Experience in a supporting role in day‑to‑day management.
* Ability to make decisions and take responsibility.
Skills
* Organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Knowledge
* High standard competency in MR.
* IV cannulation training.
