Our client is an established and successful company based in South Shields. They are currently looking for a Labourer to join their team. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.
The Job Youll be Doing;
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment within the yard.
Ensure that all materials are stored safely and securely to prevent damage or theft.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while on the job site.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents to management immediately.
Wash and prepare machines for pre-workshop entry and dispatch.
Ensure company facilities are clean and tidy at all times.
Undertake any remedial decorating/ cleaning tasks as and when necessary.
Undertake any minor repairs as may be required in and around the facility.
Ensure all waste materials and general rubbish is routinely removed from bays.
Assist the Site Workshop Manager in whatever capacity is deemed necessary to maximise the Companys image and professional profile.
Liaise with professional tradespersons to attend to tasks in a timely manner.
Carry out driving duties as and when required, including moving machines, driving of a forklift and other company vehicles.

About You;
GCSE Maths and English (Grade A C).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Demonstrable experience in similar role, minimum of 2 years experience.
Strong communications and time management skills.
A forward thinker with strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
Has a can do/ will do attitude, being polite and approachable at all times.
Keeps people informed of progress on key tasks, whilst analysing own performance and taking steps to improve this.
Good attention to detail.
Remains focused when faced with competing demands.
Experience of working in the manufacturing or similar industry.
