Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hainault, Redbridge, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support within a Reception class.
This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) during morning sessions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping the child access learning, develop social and emotional skills, and feel secure within the classroom environment. The school prides itself on its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism. Knowledge or practical experience of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) would be highly advantageous. The school is looking for a patient, empathetic, and proactive individual who can build positive relationships, adapt strategies to meet individual needs, and collaborate effectively with the class teacher and SENCO.
