The closing date is 04 June 2026
This new appointment is part of a plan to improve elective waiting times for orthopaedic patients including but not exclusive to lower limb arthroplasty. The post holder will also be responsible for independent trauma clinics and theatre lists.
The role will include pre-operative assessment, liaison with anaesthetic staff, post-operative care and peri-operative decision making. The post-holder will be expected to run independent elective and trauma operating lists and clinics and is expected to attend departmental MDG meetings to ensure governance of all trauma and arthroplasty cases. They will require experience as a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for all levels of training doctors both deanery and trust grade.
