Our client is accelerating the decarbonisation of energy through commercially successful, technologically advanced projects rooted in responsible development. As their UK pipeline expands, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Grid Connections Manager to lead grid strategy, secure capacity, and manage connection milestones across solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and grid stability assets. Key Responsibilities * Grid Strategy and Identification: Secure grid capacity across transmission and distribution networks, shaping strategy from origination through delivery * Project Development Support: Integrate grid feasibility into site selection and early-stage development * Connection Applications: Lead ENA submissions, negotiate connection agreements with DNOs, iDNOs, and NGESO * Technical Analysis: Oversee grid studies, capacity assessments, and reinforcement evaluations * Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with network operators, consultants, and regulatory bodies * Regulatory Insight: Track policy developments (Ofgem, NGESO) and advise on emerging risks and opportunities * Cross-Technology Expertise: Apply grid knowledge across solar PV, onshore wind, BESS, and synchronous condenser projects * Data and Systems: Use GIS and grid analytics tools to identify and prioritise new opportunities * Grid Code Compliance: Ensure all obligations are met across financial, technical, and regulatory domains Experience and Qualifications * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field * 5 to 8 years of UK grid experience, ideally across multiple technologies * Proven track record of securing and managing grid connections * Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness of grid economics * Collaborative mindset with stakeholder fluency across NGESO, DNOs, and internal teams What’s on Offer * Excellent salary and benefits package * Strategic role in a fast-moving, impact-driven developer * Exposure to cutting-edge projects and technologies * Supportive, innovative working environment To Apply: If you have the relevant experience and skills, we encourage you to apply by sending your CV.
