A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities within a safety-critical production environment. Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting ISO9001 compliance, conducting internal and supplier audits, managing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), completing First Article Inspections (FAI), and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be involved in supplier quality activities, technical documentation control, calibration processes, and inspection activities across manufacturing operations. Key requirements: • Experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer • Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems (QMS) • Experience conducting internal, external and supplier audits • Knowledge of NCRs, CAPA and quality investigations • Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection) • Hands-on inspection and metrology experience, including CMM, micrometers, calipers and height gauges • Engineering or manufacturing industry background • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering and suppliers Desirable: • Internal or Lead Auditor certification • Experience within rail, aerospace, industrial machinery, precision engineering or other safety-critical sectors • Calibration and supplier quality experience This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business where you can play a key role in quality assurance, compliance, process improvement and operational excellence.
