HGV Class 2 Driver We are recruiting experienced HGV (Class 2) Refuse Driver for our local authority client, operating refuse and recycling collection vehicles throughout the Pendle region. Typical working hours are as follows: • Monday to Thursday - 07:30 - 3:30pm • Friday: 07:30 - 3:00pm Plus a 30 minute per day driver check - totalling 42 working hours per week. Role responsibilities: • Drive refuse and recycling vehicles on planned local collection routes • Carry out collections of general refuse, recycling and green waste • Work as part of a small crew, supporting and directing loaders as needed • Be prepared to work off the vehicle loading bins and assisting the crew to complete the round • Follow all health & safety, road safety and council procedures at all times What we’re looking for: • Valid HGV C (Class 2) licence: CPC and Digital Tachograph card • Previous experience on a refuse/recycling wagon preferred • Physically fit, happy to load as well as drive in a fast paced outdoor role • Reliable, punctual and a good team player What’s on offer: • Ongoing work with a local authority client, with potential for long term assignment subject to performance and attendance • Early starts and daytime shifts (details confirmed at interview/induction) Induction and start: • Immediate inductions available, with starts following successful induction How to apply: • Send your CV to n.whittaker@nw-recruit.co.uk • OR apply using the “apply now” link on this advertisement.
