Corporate Security Officer – Job Overview
Location: Broughton, Chester, CH4
Pay: £13.25 – £13.79 per hour
Hours: Resilience – Guaranteed 42 hours per week (covering days, nights and weekends). Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern: one week of early shifts (5:00am–1:30pm), followed by one week of late shifts (12:30pm–9:00pm).
Grade: Site Based.
This role supports a global leader in sustainable aerospace. You will play an essential part in ensuring the safety and security of the site, going far beyond everyday patrols.
Responsibilities
* Protect Intellectual Property: Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
* Maintain Site Security: Perform daily tasks to keep the site secure and compliant with client expectations.
* Access Control: Manage access points, including staff and vehicle searches.
* Patrols & Monitoring: Conduct building patrols and monitor security alarm panels.
* Emergency Response: Act swiftly and efficiently to manage risk events.
* Wing Escort Duties: Prevent traffic blockages and unauthorised access.
* Drug & Alcohol Testing: Conduct adhoc testing to ensure a safe work environment.
* Intermediate Emergency Care (IEC): If volunteers are unavailable, this responsibility may be assigned as mandatory.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
* SIA Licence: Valid Security Industry Authority licence.
* Driving Licence: Full valid UK manual driving licence (subject to road laws).
* Proactive & Detail‑Oriented: Self‑motivated with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent organisational, customer service and communication skills.
* Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance. Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last five years (this may take 4‑6 weeks to complete).
