Seymour John is delighted to be recruiting for a different kind of travel company. Built on curiosity, genuine expertise and a passion for helping people see the world differently, they’ve spent 15 years crafting tailor-made trips that are thoughtful, personal and rooted in real connections. With a team of 26 and a culture that people rarely leave, they’re now looking for a Marketing & Content Executive to join their close-knit, award-winning team.
If you’re a natural storyteller, a confident writer and someone who lights up when talking about travel, this is a place where your creativity and initiative will be genuinely valued.
Why this role?
You’ll step into a varied, hands-on role working directly with an experienced, friendly and highly collaborative Marketing Manager. Together, you’ll shape content that inspires clients to explore the world, drawing on the first-hand insights of Destination Managers who know their locations inside out.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their marketing career (1–2 years’ experience ideal), who wants to grow their skills across both digital and traditional marketing disciplines. With a clear succession plan into for the right person, it’s a role with real development potential.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll become the heartbeat of content creation, responsible for:
* Writing and editing engaging travel content – blogs, web pages, landing pages, newsletters and social copy.
* Working closely with Destination Managers to capture stories, insights and fresh inspiration from their research trips.
* Supporting campaigns across email, social, print and paid channels.
* Sourcing, resizing and organising imagery so every itinerary looks its best.
* Supporting with press releases, award submissions and ad-hoc marketing materials.
* Monitoring key performance metrics and supporting with reporting.
* Bringing energy and creativity to everyday marketing activity - from meticulously written blogs to collaborative brainstorms.
This is predominantly an execution-focused role, perfect for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, juggling projects and taking initiative.
What they’re looking for
Someone who is:
* A strong, articulate writer with great attention to tone, detail and clarity.
* Passionate about travel – ideally well-travelled yourself.
* Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
* Curious, creative and eager to learn more.
* A positive, team-oriented person who enjoys collaborating.
* Based within roughly an hour of Cheltenham (monthly in-person Connection Days are essential to their culture).
No specific tech stack required – Mailchimp experience is helpful but not essential.
A culture people stay for
Our client is proudly remote-first, but culture is at the centre of everything they do. Their monthly Thursday Connection Day in Cheltenham is non-negotiable, because that’s where ideas are shared, relationships are built and their collaborative spirit thrives.
They’re incredibly flexible around family commitments, life admin and the unexpected. They don’t watch clocks; they trust people to do great work.
Their tenure speaks for itself: anyone who joins tends to stay.
