An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated individual to join our Placement Team as a Placement Administrator (fixed-term for 12 months). In this role, you will support the delivery of a high-quality placement service for students, academic staff and placement providers, managing administrative activity across the full student placement journey and helping to ensure quality assurance, compliance and excellent customer service.
You will plan and coordinate placement activity across designated academic programmes, maintain accurate placement records using systems such as InPlace and PARE, support the preparation of reports and documentation, and help ensure that placement processes run efficiently and effectively.
Working closely with students, programme teams, placement providers and external partners, you will act as a key point of contact for placement enquiries, build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and professionally, and respond sensitively to student concerns where appropriate.
The role also involves maintaining and updating placement management systems, monitoring placement hours and data, supporting service improvements, and contributing to operational activities such as meetings, student-facing events, Welcome Week preparation, and associated placement logistics.
We are looking for someone educated to RQF Level 3 (A Level, Scottish Higher or equivalent) or with equivalent experience, with previous experience in a relevant administrative role involving information management systems. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, confidence using IT systems including Office 365, and a professional, proactive approach are essential.
