Overview
Wycombe Abbey seeks to appoint a School Nurse / Paramedic to work alongside the Health Centre Team and Health Centre Manager, School Nurses and three visiting doctors, and to liaise closely with boarding House staff. The Health and Wellbeing Centre provides 24-hour cover, with seven inpatient beds. The School Nurse / Paramedic must be willing to work a variety of shifts; early, late and night shifts or weekend cover.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care and support within the Health Centre for pupils, staff and visitors as part of the Health Centre Team.
* Work with the Health Centre Manager, School Nurses and visiting doctors to deliver healthcare services and wellbeing support.
* Liaise with boarding House staff to support pupil welfare and safety.
* Contribute to 24-hour cover across a range of shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
Contract and Hours
* Contract: Permanent, term-time only. The first six months will be a probationary period.
* Hours: Up to 24 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, during Wycombe Abbey term time, including at least one night shift per week.
Salary
Equivalent to RGN Band 5-6 (pro-rata), depending on skills and experience.
