The Advocate Group are exclusively supporting a growing FMCG business in seeking a commercially astute Category Manager to strengthen its Category & Insight capability.
This is a high-impact role supporting across both UK and International territories – the business is currently performing very well delivering significant growth across all channels (both UK and Internationally).
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse category and customer performance using NielsenIQ, Kantar and retailer data platforms
* Identify performance drivers across distribution, ROS, pricing, promotions, NPD and seasonality
* Deliver actionable insight to support JBPs, sell-in decks and commercial strategy
* Evaluate trade activations and promotional effectiveness
* Monitor competitor activity and innovation pipelines
* Produce quarterly international category updates and distributor-ready insight decks
* Act as a centre of excellence for insight and data literacy internally
About You
* Experience in Category Mgmt, Insights or Commercial Analysis within FMCG
* Working knowledge of NielsenIQ, Kantar and retailer data portals (e.g., dunnhumby, Nectar360)
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI advantageous
* Commercially minded, detail-oriented and confident translating data into clear recommendations
* Comfortable influencing cross-functionally
