Technical Account Manager
Location: Berkshire (with occasional travel outside this area, mainly London and South East)
Salary: £45,000-£53,000 basic (DOE) + car allowance, commission, healthcare, pension, and performance-related bonuses
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a leading organisation in the water treatment and compliance sector. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a medium-sized existing client base while driving new business growth. The role involves working closely with M&E consultants and contractors, managing projects from specification through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of M&E consultant clients.
* Develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities.
* Achieve product specifications and convert them into orders.
* Build strong relationships with decision-makers including engineers, project managers, and buyers.
* Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations.
* Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance and profitability.
* Stay up to date with industry regulations (e.g., ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01).
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in account management/business development, ideally within the construction or water treatment industry.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management.
* Full UK driving licence.
