Title: Japanese Speaking Accounts Assistant and Administrator
Salary: up to £40K (per annum)
Location: London
Job status: fixed term contract until September 2026 (things might change)
Working hours: 35 hours per week

Japanese Speaking Accounts Assistant and Administrator - Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties
* Accounts payable and receivable administration
* Inputting accruals and prepayments
* Multi-currency bank reconciliation
* Supporting to produce financial statements, income statement, cash flow statement
* Assist in preparing accounting reports for senior management and headquarters.
* Assistance in audits
* Supporting corporation tax, VAT returns
* Supporting FCA reports
* Supporting new system implementation
IT Duties
* Raising IT issues to our IT dept
* Supporting IT assessment
General Administrative Duties
* Maintain entertainment costs
* Support for board meetings
* Maintaining fixed assess and inventory check
* Maintain company rules and regulations
* Supporting KYC, credit limits
Projects
* Creating manuals of the daily duties (accounting & compliance related)
* Advisory and improving a reporting and analysing method of budget/forecast/actual financial results
* Advisory on improvement of accounting flows etc to increase efficiency of workflows
* Advisory on tax, cashflow, DIVA, transfer pricing
Any other tasks as may be requested by MD in order to meet the operational need of the business that are deemed to be within the job holder’s sphere of competence.
Japanese Speaking Accounts Assistant and Administrator - Requirements:
* Have proven experience in a similar role in Japanese or UK companies. (including understanding of basic book keeping, understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow)
* Hold an Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping/AAT Bookkeeper status, or at least the Japan Chamber of Commerce of Industry Book keeping level 3 or above
* Excellent communication skills in Both English and Japanese
* Ideally experience of using SAGE
* Be proficient in MS Office
* Be detail oriented and have strong administrative skills
* Be able to demonstrate a collaborative style of working
* Results oriented and flexible – Be adaptable, able to meet deadlines and to work with all types of individuals locally or in our overseas branches.
* Self‑motivated, commercially oriented and driven individual.
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Be able to manage their time effectively and demonstrate excellent organisational skills
