Reception Teacher Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher for a thriving 2-form entry school in Barking, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. This welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Barking is looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team. Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports children's early development.
* Foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through play-based and structured activities.
* Assess and track children's progress, identifying next steps and providing individualized support.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child thrives.
* Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and well‑being.
* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Previous experience teaching in Early Years (Reception or Nursery).
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
* Passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and best early years teaching practices.
