Simulation Engineer – Deep Tech A deep tech company building AI that changes how things are made is seeking an exceptional Simulation engineer looking to take the next step in their career. Working on the kind of problems that require physics and mathematics expertise, not just ML frameworks and standard libraries. You'll develop first-principles models of complex processes. Sometimes you'll start from fundamental equations. Other times you'll design experiments, analyse machine data, and build data-driven approaches. You'll apply multi-objective optimisation and statistical methods to systems where milliseconds and micrometres matter. This is production software used across the globe. Your models need to be rigorous, fast, and robust. Simulation Engineer requirements * MEng or PhD in Physics, Applied Maths, Mechanical Engineering or similar (first/upper 2:1) * Previous experience in Simulation Engineering * Strong coding skills in Python or similar languages. C++, Matlab, Rust etc. * Someone who genuinely enjoys wrestling with partial differential equations, nonlinear dynamics, and the gap between elegant theory and reality You'll work with software engineers, production specialists, and engineers in a world class team. You need to move fluidly between deriving equations, running experiments, implementing code, and explaining your work to non-specialists. Why it matters Most simulation engineers in industry spend their careers running commercial FEA packages or optimising parameters within narrow bounds. Here, you're building the models from scratch. Your work directly enables autonomous decision-making in commercial environments impacting millions across the globe. What’s in it for you? Competitive salary, meaningful equity, hybrid working, strong benefits and problems that'll actually test what you learned in your degree.
