We’re on the lookout for aField Development Representativeto join our team for an exciting6-month fixed-term contract, working with apremium high-end bakery brand.
This role is all about identifying and unlocking new retail opportunities within the Northern England territory (with Yorkshire as a priority) withindependent storessuch asgarden centres, farm shops, delis, and other quality-focused outlets.You’ll act as the face of the brand, building relationships, pitching products, and securing listings that align with its premium positioning.
While this role will suit an experienced sales rep, we're particularly interested in someone who canadapt their approachto suit more boutique-style stores where relationships and storytelling play a key role in securing business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Proactively identify and approach premium independent retail outlets suitable for the brand
· Build rapport with store owners, managers, and buyers to secure new product listings
· Deliver confident and compelling product pitches that reflect the brand’s quality and values
· Support new stockists with onboarding, POS materials, and product knowledge
· Carry out regular store visits, sampling activity, and follow-ups to maintain momentum
· Capture feedback and insights from the field to support brand development
· Provide timely reports on activity, wins, challenges, and opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
· A background in field sales, account development, or brand representation
· Experience working with independent retailers or in a premium brand environment is a plus
· Excellent people skills – personable, persuasive, and great at building trust
· Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently
· Comfortable managing a field-based territory and using reporting tools
· Passion for food, retail, and artisan products is highly desirable
· Full UK driving licence required
Renumeration:
. Performance-related bonus of up to 2k
. Company expenses covered
. Company vehicle provided
