The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dispatch Manager to lead our Dispatch Team on a 12‑month basis, delivering efficient, customer‑focused work scheduling. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring our field teams are equipped with the right work, at the right time, enabling excellent service delivery and outstanding customer experience.
You will play a key role in shaping a high‑performing planning function, using data‑driven insights and collaborative working to optimise resource utilisation and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Dispatchers, fostering a positive, high‑performance culture where individuals are empowered to succeed
* Oversee the effective use of the Maximo system to plan, build, and release work schedules, ensuring alignment between resource capacity and demand
* Monitor and manage team performance through clear metrics, using data analysis to identify trends, resolve issues, and implement improvements
* Champion a customer‑first mindset, ensuring all scheduled work is supported by clear, timely, and high‑quality customer communications
* Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability, supporting the team through change and transformation initiatives
* Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Operational Field Teams, to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery
* Promote cross‑team knowledge sharing and multi‑skilling to enhance flexibility and resilience within the planning function
What You’ll Need
* Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing teams in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
* Experience managing performance through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback
* Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
* Experience driving change and building engagement within teams
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving capabilities
