Quality Engineer Location: Oldbury, West Midlands
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 8:00am to 5:00pm | Friday – 8:00am to 1:30pm
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our client's team in Oldbury. Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading all quality-related processes to support both customer and production requirements. Customer and Internal Concern Resolution: Proactively addressing quality issues and ensuring effective resolutions.
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) quality requirements.
Internal Training: Delivering training on quality-related topics to ensure the team meets required quality standards.
Investigation Leadership: Leading root cause investigations using the 8D methodology to resolve quality concerns.
Generating and distributing key quality reports to stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring timely closure of issues.
Driving Improvements: Identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
Accountabilities as a Quality Engineer:
Maintain process adherence and quality compliance at all times.
Ensure all quality data and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure all associates are aware of the required quality standards and are adequately trained.
5+ years of First-Tier Automotive supply experience is highly desirable.
~ In-depth knowledge and experience in using 8D methodology for root cause analysis.
~ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
~ Proven experience working with Automotive OEM’s and CSR’s.
Flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment.
Innovative, always looking for ways to improve processes and quality.
