We are seeking a PR & Events Officer in the Marketing & Communications department. This position will be based at the City Centre Campus.

Salary: £12,875 – £13,752 (based on a full‑time salary of £32,189 – £34,381 per annum).
Contractual hours: 15 hours per week.
Basis: Part Time – Fractional.
Package: Generous Annual Leave, Health Scheme and a 16.30% employer contribution (£2098.72–£2241.64) to the Local Government Pension scheme.

Responsibilities include:

* Be an active member of the Marketing and Communications team, responsible for developing and delivering PR and Events objectives in line with the college’s marketing strategy.
* Contribute positively to a professional, innovative, responsive and effective in‑house PR and Events team and service for the College and its subsidiaries.
* Work with staff across the College to plan and implement effective PR activities and events that enhance the reputation of the College locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
* Coordinating PR events and activities for the College, its subsidiaries and partner organisations, including:
o Organising large‑scale awards events.
o Initiating and coordinating corporate events, business networking events, launches for new products and developments to generate PR gain.
o Co‑ordinating official visits for visiting dignitaries.
o Co‑ordinating the College’s presence at non‑recruitment exhibitions.
o Securing sponsorship from external partners and organisations to financially support events and increase commercial and key partner involvement.
* Generate PR content writing, including copy development and a range of content to optimise reach for PR and events activities.
* Support internal communications for staff and students by:
* Co‑ordinating/supporting cross‑college events and activities (e.g., staff briefings, staff awards).
* Co‑ordinating/supporting student events (e.g., Freshers Façades, skills competitions).
* Generating, copy‑writing and uploading content onto the staff and student website/portals/app.
* Proactively seeking out opportunities to work with partners and develop links to raise the profile of the College and its subsidiaries through sponsorship and involvement in networks, events and activities.
* Monitoring the impact of all PR and Events activity, analysing and evaluating return on investment to inform future activity and spend.

Welsh language skills: Not essential but desirable.

This is a Fixed Term Contract until September 2026.
