About this Role:
Senior Project Manager required to run a £15m new build leisure / residential project in Warminster, Wiltshire.
Initially you will take on the circa month PCSA period, then work is due to start on site in the summer next year. The project involves some initial cut and fill and retaining works to construct the three storey RC framed building in the side of a hill.
Works will take place within a larger live environment with end users and members of the public around, so careful consideration and planning will be needed in terms of logistics, signage, safe access, etc.
Reporting to the Construction Director and visiting Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing the project from through the preconstruction phase, into contract and start on site in in Q3 and throughout the circa 18 month construction phase.
You take the lead holding responsibility for input to design development, construction methodology and programme of works, logistics, plus specifically the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, health and safety, quality control and any issue resolution.
About the Company:
The client is the busy regional office of a national main contractor, with a turnover in excess of £40m, with secured workload in the leisure, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, retirement living sectors across the South and West.
Projects range in size from £2m to £20m, secured through a mixture of national and regional frameworks, negotiated schemes with repeat clients, and competitive tenders. There is a good pipeline of future work, with 80% of turnover already secured for 2026.
Requirements:
You will ideally be an experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Manager looking to step up and with a proven track record within a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor, able to deliver a £15m+ design & build schemes as No1.
Key attributes will include excellent project team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive and the ability to keep works on track.
