Education Required Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist certification (RDN). Education Preferred Experience Required Minimum of one year of experience working with eating and nutritional problems including a particular focus on eating disorders. Experience Preferred Skills, Characteristics Required For Position Competence in the assessment of the nutritional adequacy of diets Strong skills in nutritional counseling and developmental psychology Understands the nature of eating disorders and how to work with such patients Ability to collaborate with other professionals Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Special Working Conditions N/A Driving Requirements N/A Essential Employee N/A Primary Duties Provide nutritional counseling to students, focusing on adequacy of diets and eating disorders. Interact and consult with Counseling and Health Services professional staff, the Department of Athletics, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Dining Services regarding the treatment of students. Act as a resource/liaison for students with allergies/special diet needs and dining services. Create special diets for students with allergies. Support dining operations with menu ideas and allergy updates. Participate in health education programming. Provide consistent and reliable attendance.
