Optegra has an exciting opportunity for a Speciality Doctor with ophthalmology experience, especially in glaucoma management, to join our team at Maidstone Eye Hospital. This part-time role involves 2 days per week, 20 hours, offering a chance to grow within a supportive environment with funded training and development programs.

The Role
We seek a motivated Staff Grade Doctor to support our NHS glaucoma service, providing clinical and surgical assistance, with a focus on patient care and management of glaucoma and ocular conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, evaluate, and manage glaucoma and ocular conditions
* Perform diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, Volk, CCT, gonioscopy
* Manage glaucoma referrals
* Provide pre- and post-operative care
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals for treatment planning
* Participate in team meetings and service development
* Maintain accurate records and comply with regulations
* Educate patients and families about glaucoma management
Requirements:
* Medical degree from a recognized university
* GMC registration with UK license
* Experience in ophthalmology and glaucoma management
* UK NHS glaucoma clinic experience
* Gonioscopy and SLT laser experience
* Strong diagnostic, communication, and teamwork skills
