Clinical Psychologist – Inspire Neurocare
Join Inspire Neurocare as a Clinical Psychologist in our Southampton service. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist seeking more time, opportunities, and reward.
Job Description
As part of the Therapy team, you will be responsible for delivering psychological assessments and interventions to adults with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. You will lead the multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of the Clinical Lead, to ensure the systematic provision of a high‑quality specialist psychology service to residents.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conduct and develop a range of complex neuropsychological assessments and evaluations.
* Implement relevant interventions and develop rehabilitation programmes for residents with brain, stroke and spinal cord injuries, complex neurological disorders and progressive conditions.
* Communicate sensitive and sometimes challenging information to residents, their relatives, support workers/carers and friends.
* Provide expert neuro‑psychological advice and support to other professionals to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
* Undertake risk assessments relating to cognition and behaviour and devise guidelines and management plans for the team.
* Provide regular guidance, supervision and support for other members of the Therapy team delivering psychologically based treatments.
Qualifications
* A recognised degree in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology or a related field.
* Extensive, demonstrable experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on neuropsychology.
* Strong experience working with individuals who have complex, specialist needs requiring regular review.
* Knowledge of the statutory duties of local government in social care.
* Experience with acquired or traumatic brain injuries and an understanding of neurological needs (preferred).
* A compassionate nature and commitment to make a real difference to residents.
* Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on person‑centred resident care.
