This role is a part-time position working over 3 days (up to 21 hours), forming part of a job share with duties shared with the other part-time Marketing and Events Supervisor.
About The Role
Our vision is that people of all ages can come together and enjoy a safe, social, and inclusive environment. We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to support the Folk Hall Managers in achieving this through excellent customer service and developing relationships with stakeholders.
The role involves the operational day-to-day supervision of the Folk Hall Customer Service team, focusing on Marketing and Events, as well as overseeing the shop, reception, and bookings. Our events include community groups, activities, corporate bookings, and weddings.
This position requires regular evening and weekend work on a rotational basis, supporting the Post Office and taking operational responsibility in the absence of the Folk Hall Managers.
About You
This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with people and communities. You should be flexible, creative, motivated, and possess good communication skills.
You should have a passion for marketing, especially digital channels, and understand the tools available. A customer-focused approach and the ability to manage competing workloads are essential. Proven supervisory experience and cash handling skills are required. You will be the first point of escalation for staff and user inquiries, reporting urgent matters to the Folk Hall Manager on call.
