We’re on the lookout for a brilliant and experienced Kids Audio Lead to join our small and mighty Koala Kids network team - home to the hit Bedtime Story show Koala Moon with over 50 million listens as well as; This role focuses on driving the creative direction, producing and overseeing all of our kids content across the network. It’s a dream opportunity for someone who’s passionate about mindful children’s audio, with a passion for creativity, has sharp editorial instincts, and thrives on managing multiple projects with precision.
As our Lead Kids Audio Producer, supported by our Content Director, you’ll oversee the creation and delivery of content across the Koala Kids Network, which includes Koala Moon, Koala Shine, Koala Tots, and Koala Sleep Sounds.
You’ll manage the full production pipeline - from story planning with our writers, editing and writing scripts, advising on sound design and publishing the episodes - ensuring every episode is thoughtful, high-quality, and aligned with our brand and the Koala-verse.
Managing content production across multiple shows
Collaborating with writers, hosts, sound engineers & YouTube editors
Editing scripts from writers, alongside the opportunity to create your own
Reviewing raw audio files from our voices and ensuring they're delivered on time
Reviewing final audio from our sound engineers for quality and brand alignment
Planning episode releases and maintaining shared calendars
Uploading episodes and organising content across platforms (Megaphone, Art19, Apple Podcasts Connect)
Writing and developing promotional and bonus content
Building community by managing listener shoutouts and requests
Reviewing platform data and using insights to guide future content
Submitting content for editorial consideration on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more
Helping to grow subscriptions and support community engagement
Proven experience in content production (audio engineering experience is not required)
Strong creative writing and editorial skills, with a good understanding of young audiences
Keen interest in podcasts, YouTube & children’s entertainment
Creative thinker who loves audio storytelling, world building and character-driven content
A desire to create meaningful content that makes a difference to people’s lives
Bonus: Experience with Podcast Hosting platforms
