We are looking for a Healthcare & Access Partner to join us in our UK & Ireland Rare Epilepsy team, field-based covering North Wales and Northern & Central England
About the role
The Healthcare and Access Partner (HCAP) represents UCB in the communities we serve as we strive toward transforming the lives of those living with Rare Epilepsy. Playing an integral role in identifying and building collaborative relationships with all relevant healthcare professional stakeholders, the HCAP embraces and executes commercial strategies built on a solid scientific foundation, enabling access for all rare patients we can serve. The HCAP masters clinical, environmental and stakeholder data to deliver robust account plans and persuasive, high-impact customer experiences tailored to distinct user segments whilst maintaining the highest ethical standards. The HCAP is an expert across an assigned territory with a deep understanding of delivery networks, and regional patient journeys.
Who you’ll work with
You will report into the Ecosystem Lead for Rare & Epilepsy for the UK & Ireland
What you’ll do
1. Consistently and pro-actively operates with the highest level of ethics and integrity serving rare disease patients and in line with local requirements.
2. Externally focused and creates value for patients based on insights
3. Maintains in-depth understanding of assigned territory in terms of stakeholder needs, patient pathways and ecosystem collaborations
4. Executes strategic business/accounts plans including the network/regional patient journey and reflects a thorough understanding of the territory stakeholders involved in the patient pathways
5. Delivers/communicates balanced information on new therapies in rare disease areas
6. Masters targeted disease states, which include a deep understanding of patient journeys, standards of care, treatment drivers, clinical data (efficacy & safety) on UCB products and competitors
7. Advocate for Rare Epilepsy patients and serve as the authority on the various tools and resources UCB offers to support physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other health care providers
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
8. Bachelor’s degree
9. High levels of curiosity to understand "the why" and timely execution towards serving rare disease patients
10. External impact focused and solution oriented agile team player
11. Experience in either pharma/biopharma or healthcare in general.
12. Experience/involvement in successful product launches
