We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Relief Care Assistant to join our warm and welcoming care home team at our St Joseph’s Residential Care Home for the elderly and people with dementia. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our residents to live with dignity, independence and choice and deliver the highest standards of care. Relief work offers flexibility and is ideal for those who wish to work around other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
* Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
* Assisting with meals and hydration
* Supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing and social engagement
* Administering medication in line with training and procedures (where applicable)
* Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
* Working in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures
