Overview
This is a unique and exceptional opportunity assisting the Director of a rapidly growing arts and events organisation in Hay-on-Wye, and father of two children. The majority (70%) of your time will be taken up playing an important part in the marketing of events at a thriving arts centre. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our annual festivals both in Hay and London. In addition, you will help with the running of the Director’s household and the collection of teenage children from school and other activities and the preparation of meals.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director with marketing of arts and events, including creation of web and social media content, writing copy and producing quality images and videos.
Assist in planning and executing the annual festivals in Hay and London.
Provide personal support to the Director including household tasks, transportation duties, and childcare logistics.
Requirements
Strong educational background and an interest in events.
Highly organised, practical, independent, outgoing and creative, with a talent for writing and visual content creation.
Previous experience in events, web, social media or video is an advantage. Training will be provided.
Must own a car, possess a full driving licence, and have a genuine love of the countryside; which may involve visits to people and locations in the area.
Ideal candidate lives in or has local connections to Hay-on-Wye/Hereford; accommodation may be provided if this isnt the case.
