Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist – Community Alcohol and Drug Service
A vacancy has arisen within CADS for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist based at Falkirk Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical expertise, leadership and supervision to nursing staff delivering evidence‑based, effective, specialist interventions to patients with substance use problems, including alcohol problems.
* Implement the principles of the recovery model of care and treatment for drug and alcohol related issues.
* Provide formal, structured supervision to each nursing team member to ensure patients are progressing along the recovery pathway and receive appropriate clinical interventions.
* Work in partnership with other agencies to promote an integrated model of care.
Qualifications and Experience
* 1st level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with a degree, plus post qualifications in the relevant area of speciality.
* Experience of team working and good interpersonal skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel throughout the area of service delivery.

Benefits and Working Hours
From 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so pay will not be affected.
