GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 3 Science Teacher to join a highly regarded independent educational setting in Pocklington from September 2026 until July 2027. As a Key Stage 3 Science Teacher, you will work within a supportive and academically ambitious environment, delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3. This part-time role will involve working 3 mornings per week, helping pupils develop scientific understanding, critical thinking, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Main Responsibilities as a Key Stage 3 Science Teacher: Deliver engaging and well-structured Key Stage 3 Science lessons. Plan and prepare lessons that support pupils of varying abilities and learning styles. Encourage curiosity, scientific enquiry, and active classroom participation. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues and pastoral staff to support pupil development. Science Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Previous experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 level. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to motivate and engage pupils within a supportive learning environment. A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to teaching. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
